Cuan House Wildlife Rescue

Welcome to Cuan House, the only 24/7 Wildlife Rescue Centre, in Shropshire. We are dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals and birds. Each year we regularly admit and treat approximately 1,500 casualties for which we need to raise approximately £50,000 for the day to day running costs.

The Baby Season

Written by Megan Morris-Jones on . Posted in News

The baby season has certainly kicked in! Our first orphan of the year - a tiny little female squirrel - has thrived and is now weaned and in a large indoor pen with both privacy from humans and lots of space and climbing area. We were concerned that she might be getting lonely on her own, but we have now paired her up with a little boy squirrel, who, although smaller, is doing much better with her than with his three sisters. They snuggle up tight together when they are asleep in their box. We are also rearing his three sisters and two other smaller squirrels. Also, six baby rabbits - the older two quite wild now and due to be released this weekend.

NEW!! - Charity Shop

Written by Megan Morris-Jones on . Posted in News

We are about to open our own "Cuan House Wildlife" Charity Shop here in Much Wenlock. We are taking over the old Barclays Bank building in the High Street. It's a beautiful old listed black and white building with lots of space.

The exact date for opening is not yet fixed, but we are aiming for mid-May. Please keep looking at our website for more details. In the meantime, if you can help in any way with donations of goods - clothes, DVD's, CD's, household goods, jewellery, in fact anything suitable for a good-quality Charity shop, we would be most grateful. Also, we shall be much in need of shelving, display cabinets, tables, etc. For further details, please phone Sean who will be managing it, at Cuan House on 01952 728070 .
